Bernd Stephan comes to The Film Department from The Yari Film Group, where he most recently held the position of Senior Vice President and Controller. During his four-year tenure at YFG, he developed an expertise in complex financial structures involving such films as The Illusionist, The Matador, and The Hoax.

Prior to that, Stephan worked in New York for the boutique international tax consulting firm Augustin Partners.
